Supermoon 2011!

Photobucket

It seemed so odd that my boyfriend and I would want to chase a moon, but they say if you can't reach for the stars, catch a 'Super' Moon. Well not really catch it but get some footage of the astronomical phenomenon which took place March 19, 2011. We set out on our journey around 7:30PM on Saturday night and I was very anxious. I know it wouldn't look as big as most places in the world but it was surely big enough. I'm a science buff and I did notice the difference in size and brightness. It was definitely larger than normal as it rose from the east as the sunset was on the west. Finally after driving around for about a half an hour to get a good shot here in the city of Newark, NJ, we snapped a few shots and recorded some footage. I do apologize for some of the fuzziness of the photos a video because of my type of camera. If only my camera could show you what my eyes can see.
